Cannot WAIT for a night in Memphis with 2 of my favorite gals!

I cannot wait for Saturday when I take off to Memphis for a night out with these two special friends!!

We are staying at this place on Beale Street

And after we check in, we are meeting up with Jennie, Lauren and Lesley to eat at this awesome place!

After our great meal, we are heading to this beautiful place
To see my FAVORITE Broadway musical,
I saw this musical on Broadway and fell in LOVE so naturally when I learned that the show was heading to Memphis, I automatically made plans to see it again. (A HUGE Thanks to Bailes & Luke for giving me your wives on Valentines weekend!) Guess I'm going to become my dad and see it as many times as possible.  He took me on a father-daughter date when we were in NYC because it's his favorite (he's seen it 5 times and going to see it again in Memphis) and knew that I would love it just as much.  Wonder if anyone will dance in the aisles because the music is THAT good!

After our fun night of wining, dining and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, we are going to hit up our favorite street (besides Bourbon)
But since this is us these days,
we will probably be in the bed before midnight.
So the question remains, will we visit one of these places before bedtime???

or go to the great place who serves these?

OR.... maybe we'll get a wild hair, stay out way past our bedtime and go here!!!
So be sure to check back next week to find out how our fun Girl's Night Out in Memphis turned out!!

I LOVE MY BULLDOGS!!!!

Since childbirth, my dad taught me to EAT, BREATHE and SLEEP Mississippi State sports.  I had several cheerleading outfits, smocked MSU clothing, mini cowbells and numerous dog paw tattoos on my face.  I loved reading the game day programs and looking at all of the cheerleaders, pom squad members and most importantly, the player's pictures.  So with all of that said, my LOVE for MSU continues on as I grow older.

When I was younger, I dreamed of attending MSU, sharing a dormroom with my very best friend since childhood, (who happened to grow up the same way I did as a MSU fan) join a sorority and attended sporting events as a college student.  Well, in 1999, my dream FINALLY came true!  I moved to Starkville, MS that August, my residence was Rice Hall, lived with my best friend, Lyndsey, joined a sorority (KD,) attended every football game, several basketball & baseball games and started living out my dream.  My experiences at STATE were more than I could have imagined!  I made a ton of new friends, kept my hometown friends and made memories that will last forever. (Sorry if that sounds corny!)  I could go on and on about my college experience but I would have to write an entire novel.

As I said earlier, I've always had a passion for MSU sports but recently, my passion has grown into a true obsession.  Now, I feel like a kid at Christmas on signing day, opening day of football season and when our season tickets come in the mail.  I am apart of such a fun tailgate group (friends from college) and sit with several of them at the games.  We literally crave the weekends of tailgating and game day and when the season is over, become somewhat depressed.  At the age of 28, I am officially a MSU junkie.  I listen to Out of Bounds Sports Radio every morning from 7am-10am, read the MSU blogs & the Clarion Ledger multiple times a day, subscribed to Gene's Page and Bulldawg Junction and visit Rivals.com, Scout.com and ESPN (which is now blocked at work.)  See, I told you I'm a junkie and it's almost sad; however, when you EAT, BREATHE and SLEEP MSU from an early age, you naturally become more involved as you grow older, right?

Well, last night, I had the honor and priveledge of attending The Central Alumni Association's Signing Day party at The South.  Great venue, great food, great turnout (500+ attendees) and most importantly, a speech and visit from Coach Dan Mullen and Greg Byrne.  I am very excited about our signing class and cannot wait for Football Season 2010!

Dan the Man and his two biggest fans!!!

Me & Coach Mullen....such a great coach & man!!

A great wedding with great friends!

Jimbo and Caroline got married this past weekend in Louisville.  I went up early that afternoon to spend time with my best friend, Grace and her husband who is just like my brother, Bailey. Grace and I had the best time pampering ourselves by fixing our fingernails and toes..so fun!  We left to get to the wedding 30 minutes early and when we arrived were told that there was no sitting or standing room.  We were so sad that we wouldn't be able to watch the wedding but went back to the Lake for the reception.

When the bride and groom and other guests arrived, the party started.  The fod was great and the decor was beautiful.  Jimbo has been a great friend since college year and I've been blessed to get to know his sweet wife, Caroline (formerly McNeel aka Jason's sister.)  Congrats to the newlyweds and thanks for inviting me to your special day!

Me & Grace with Bailes, Jimbo aka Daddy Bob and Baker

T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!!  Love my bestie!
It's always good to see Joanna who is the bride's new sister-n-law
My first family....don't know why we always like taking this exact same picture every time we're together
Sweet boys-Jeff, Baker, Jimbo, Bailes and Truitt
Me, Grace and LT...always fun to see LT!  (Thanks for letting me steal this pic, LT!)

The painting hand is back!!!!

I have slacked off for so long and not used a talent that I'm blessed with which is painting.  I have decided to start painting again and this is just one of the series that I'm going to paint.  They're going to be Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Happiness and Kindness.  I'm hoping to paint enough to sell at Ginger's aka my mom's store.  BTW-she will be a vendor at this year's Mistletoe Marketplace in Jackson...cannot wait!

Happy 1st Birthday to sweet George Hays Menetre

I was SO upset that I had to miss George Hays Menetre's 1st birthday party.  I also despise the fact that I live so far away that he doesn't "know" his aunt Sara....ask Grace, she'll tell you how often I discuss this disturbing fact.  I love this child to pieces and nothing makes me happeir than to receive voicenotes through BBM of him saying Bye, Bye, Bye, Bye and precious pictures sent via picture text.  Thank goodness for technology these days.  Anyways, Happy Late Birthday to this precious child.  He has his Aunt Sara wrapped around his little finger!

His mother and I are teaching him at an early age "How to Player Stalk."  Our first victim next season, Mr. Chad Bumphis so that he can show off his jersey!

Great food, toasts, a little lingerie & some low-key Bachelorette fun!

My sweet Caro decided to have a low key Bachelorette party here in Jackson. Several of us, including her PRECIOUS mother and sweet mother in law to be, got together for dinner at Mint.  Caro opened her lingerie gifts in between apps and the main meal.  As always, MINT was delish! Afterwards, me, Caro, Katie Barnes and Mary Rebecca went to Hal and Mal's to see one of my favorite bands, The Last Waltz Ensemble.  I was so excited that Mel and John decided to join!

I adore this girl more than life and cannot wait to stand beside her on her big day!!
So I may need to have a seperate Blog title on my next topic but just bear with me.  So this past NYE, I met this sweet girl Melissa who just so happened to live in my neighborhood.  I invited her over for New Years Day festivities at my house and we instantly bonded.  We have SO much in common that it's almost scary.  I think that she is my twin but from another mother.  I'm sure you'll see lots of more pics and posts mentioning my new great friend since we seem to be together quite a bit.  Thank you, Mel for becoming my friend and being the great friend and person that you are!!!

2010 is so far so good!!!

I've made numerous New Years Resolutions and hope that I accomplish each of them.  My #1 first resloution was to get back in church and actually make one my home.  I've visited several churches but every time, I end up back at the one that grabs my heart and attention each and every time.  PINELAKE!!!  I absolutely love Chip's sermons and learn from each message. If you have never heard him speak, please take the time to watch his sermons online:
I also joined a Small Group and am very anxious about getting to know each of these girls and more importantly GOD.  We are reading Crazy Love and so far so good!

My 2nd Resolution is to start exercising, tone up and get in shape.  My very best friend since three, Lyndsey, has been going to Spin, Body Pump and exercising quite a bit so she has given me great advice.  I joined the Club in Madison and have taken Body Pump, Body Attack and Cardio Blast.  Boy am I ever out of shape!!! I'm finally starting to feel normal and my body doesn't fel like rubber bands.

Since I bought my house, I have become somewhat poor.  Not necessarily poor but restricted in what I want to do which includes not going out as much with my friends.  I am doing my very best to restrict myself to doing something fun one night a weekend.  It's hard to say no but it's helping me manage my money as well as learn self control. Here's a fun night out in Jackson at Underground 119 which is a really cool restauarant/music venue.
My partner in crime and me
  Me and my roomie
Me and one of my FAV girls, Christi!!
Another resolution is to start babysitting my friend's children.  If you need a sitter, PLEASE call or email me sarabethstockton@gmail.com and I will be more than happy to help!

I have several more resolutions but those are my tops.
Hope that you are having a great start to your new year!

Such a long time away so get ready!

I cannot believe I have been such a huge slacker and not posted to the blog in forever (sorry to my few readers who have been bored at work with nothing to read:))  My camera was a bit under the weather during the holidays but I do have 2 pics from A Tacky Christmas party.

Me and Chrissy at The Harrington's Party benefitting CARA.  So fun!

Me, Carmen and Dea at Hal and Mal's for North MS AllStars after the party

Christmas was absolutely wonderful!  I throughly enjoyed spending time with my family and getting to see my high school best friends (minus Hillary.)  It's so sad that when I go home to Corinth, I'm only there for such a short time.  I'm always anxious going home and never want to leave.  Here is a pic from Blakley's shower for baby Mac due within the next month!

(Me, Lyndsey, Joanie, Blakley, Rachel, Jessica and Laine)

I never thought that I would have such a hard time trying to decide what to do for NYE but this year was TOUGH!!!  I finally decided to go to the First Annual Catfish Drop at Hal and Mal's with several of my girlfriends and my best guy friend, John. I only have a couple of pictures from night due to my camera   not feeling 100%....bummer!

So I had a wonderful 2009 and cannot wait to see what all is in store for 2010!!!
